Cycle Privacy Policy
Cycle has no account and no server. Everything you log stays on your iPhone. We never see it, we can’t sell it, and there are no ads, analytics or tracking.
What Cycle stores, and where
Your period days, flow, pain scores, symptoms, settings and any past dates you enter are saved in one file on your iPhone. Cycle has no code that sends this data to us or anyone else. It is included in your iPhone’s own backups, which Apple manages.
Apple Health (optional)
- Reading: if you allow it, Cycle reads menstrual flow, spotting and symptom records (such as cramps, headache, bloating, fatigue, mood and sleep changes, and diarrhea) already saved in Apple Health, to import your history.
- Writing: if you turn on “Save my logs to Apple Health”, Cycle saves the days you log there. Cycle never saves its predictions to Apple Health.
- Health data from Apple Health is never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with anyone.
- You can change this any time in the Settings app › Health › Data Access & Devices › Cycle.
Other permissions (all optional)
- Notifications — one discreet reminder before your predicted period. The text is “A heads-up for the next few days” and contains no health details. It is scheduled on your iPhone.
- Face ID or passcode — to lock the app. Apple handles this; Cycle never sees your face data or passcode.
Purchases
Cycle Pro is sold through Apple. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. Cycle checks what you’ve bought on your device using Apple’s StoreKit.
Your choices
- Export everything as JSON or CSV from Settings.
- Delete everything from Settings. This removes the data from Cycle on this iPhone; there is no other copy on our side. Records already saved to Apple Health stay there until you remove them in the Health app.
Children
Cycle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because Cycle sends no data to us, we hold no information about any user.
Not medical advice, not birth control
Cycle describes patterns in what you log. It does not diagnose, and its fertile-window estimate is not a method of contraception. Talk to a doctor before making medical decisions.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If Cycle ever starts sending any data off your device, we will ask for your permission in the app first.
