Glance Privacy Policy
Glance does not require an account. We do not collect your personal information on our servers. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking.
What Glance asks to access
All of these are optional. You can use Glance without granting them, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Calendar — to show your schedule and add events you ask it to create.
- Notifications — for event alerts and morning briefings. These are created on your device and can include an event's title, time, and location.
- Reminders — to add a to-do you mention with an event (like "remind me to bring forms"), to fit open to-dos into Plan my week, and to count what you finished in your week recap. Your reminders stay in Apple's Reminders app.
- Location while using the app — once, to estimate driving time to an event.
What stays on your device
Your onboarding answers, routines, notification preferences, and a widget snapshot of your upcoming events are stored on your device.
Calendar events live in your device's calendar. If that calendar syncs through iCloud or another provider, that provider handles the sync, not us.
Apple services
Location search, maps, and driving-time estimates use Apple Maps, so the text or coordinates involved are sent to Apple and handled under Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases, subscriptions, and offer codes are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details, and redeeming a code doesn't share anything with us.
AI features
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Glance's assistant runs on your device. Your prompts and calendar data are not sent to us.
Cloud assistant (Glance Pro, iPhones without Apple Intelligence only). If you turn it on (we ask first, and you can turn it off in Settings), your question and the titles, times, locations and notes of the events involved are sent to our server and to Anthropic's Claude AI to create the answer. To confirm your Pro plan, the app also sends Apple's signed purchase record. We don't store your questions or calendar details; we keep only a scrambled (hashed) purchase identifier, a timestamp and usage counts for up to 30 days to enforce daily limits. Anthropic processes requests under its commercial terms, does not use them to train its models, and may keep them for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring.
Third parties
Glance uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Service providers: Apple (App Store purchases, Maps, on-device AI), Supabase (hosts our server in the United States, used only for the cloud assistant), and Anthropic (Claude AI, only for the cloud assistant when you turn it on).
Deleting your data
Deleting Glance removes the data it stores on your device. Calendar events stay in your Calendar app; you can delete them there.
You can revoke access anytime in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security.
Children
Glance is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we add other features that send data off your device, we will update this policy before releasing them.
